Application

Metal type used in rf and if stages or picture amplifier and the first stages of the video amplifier of television receivers. It is also used as a mixer or oscillator tube in low-frequency applications.

Tube requires octal socket. When tube is used as a high-gain audio amplifier, heater should be operated from a battery source.
